Purpose:
To activly observe Newton’s first law.
Supplies:
• A helper
• A small beanbag
• A sidewalk
• Three rocks
Proccedure:
Holding the beanbag at shoulder height, run down the sidewalk. Drop the bag when you pass your helper. Mark where it dropped with a rock.
Repeat, but have helper knock bag out of your hand. Mark.

Purpose:
To actively observe the y/dimension.
Supplies:
• Rubber Band
• Stopwatch
Procedure:
Hold the rubber band level with your nose and release. Time. Repeat four times and average.
Hold the rubber band vertical to the ground & flick across the room. Time. Repeat four times and average.
Calculations:
0.39 sec, 0.37 sec, 0.25 sec, 0.38 sec = average of 0.343

Purpose:
To calculate a helper’s reaction tme, as well as my own.
Supplies:
• Your Lab Book
• A metric yardstick
Procedure:
Have helper hold ruler between thumb and first finger, and line your fingers up at chosen mark.
Relese the ruler without warning. The helper should close finger/thumb as soon as they can. Calculate their reaction time using the formula below.

A smaller piece of paper
Procedure:
Hold the book in one hand and the paper in the other. Release them at the same instant.
Hold the paper on top of the book and release.

For highschool students, an important part of Science will be a Lab.
Most colleges require at least 3 lab classes, so it’s benificial to do as many as possible.

There haven’t been any planetary alinments.
I didn’t even get a 100 on my Math Test.
